On your first sign of a headache or heartburn after mealtime (and before taking pharmaceutical painkillers / antacids), ascertain that you aren’t dehydrated. It is crucial to drink at least one glass (300 ml) of water for every 10 kg of body mass. This roughly equals two litres of clean (filtered / distilled or a good source of bottled) water in divided amounts daily. Secondly, take approximately 5000 mg (5 grams) of vitamin C in a glass of water immediately. Normally this will take care of the heartburn at once. Give the headache a few minutes to subside.
