Relation between blood type, vit C and constipation

It is important to take the right sort of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) for your blood type.  O and B need a calcium ascorbate.  A1 and AB need sodium ascorbate.  A2 needs a combination of both calcium and sodium ascorbates.  Alternatively, orange flavoured for O and AB and blackcurrant or berry flavoured for A1, A2 and BSplit the dose, take 2 or 3 times a day and take to bowel tolerance to be most effective. If you experience any discomfort such as gastrointestinal complaints (mild diarrhoea or stools that are too soft), try another brand or decrease the dosage.  This is an excellent way of determining how much vitamin C the body needs daily - enough to keep our bowels working regularly every day without effort but not to make them too loose. This way we prevent constipation.

Vit C cannot be stored in the body – you need to supplement your diet daily. A few oranges, guavas or tomatoes are not enough. The optimum amount of vit C per day differs from person to person. The healthier you are, the less you need. The moment your stools become too soft, it indicates that you’ve reached your optimum level, which can be anything between 3000 – 15 000 mg (3 – 15 g) daily in divided doses. The body cannot absorb it all at once – add it to your bottled water, and take sips throughout the day for maximum absorption. I have come across many case studies where 30 000 – 40 000 mg (30 – 40 g) per day was administered to very ill cancer patients intravenously with remarkable results.   A short article with the title “How vitamin C works in the body” deserves to be mentioned - http://members.upnaway.com/~poliowa/How%20Vitamin%20C%20works.html.
