This blog provides tips to help you maintain good health and make more informed decisions to prevent illness. The body has a unique inner healing force if it is provided with the right "fuel". Unfortunately, chronic diseases often occur due to ignorance of what our bodies need to function optimally. Tips are based on extensive experience and backed-up by references from respected scientific literature, but should not substitute the advice of your physician or other suitably qualified person.

Receding gums can be healed naturally
Myrrh, an herbal tincture, has such potent healing properties that it was even mentioned in the Bible. Acting as an antiseptic and disinfectant, it tones and stimulates mucous tissue, fights harmful bacteria in the mouth and is good for bad breath, periodontal diseases, skin disorders, asthma, bronchitis, colds, flu, sinusitis, sore throat and herpes simplex. Topically, it is useful for abscesses, boils, sores and wounds. Myrrh also stimulates the immune system and gastric secretions. Try this remedy for gingivitis, mouth ulcers and receding gums. (The latter could be blamed on the metal base of porcelain crowns. The immune system continuously attempts to get rid of these foreign objects. If unsuccessful, it “tries to get away” from the foreign object with the result of receding gums and a weakened immune system. Assure yourself of the quality of your dental crowns and also think twice before you have your ears pierced!) With a few drops of Myrrh in water daily and good dental care, you will be amazed to see how the body heals itself. Be patient though – the natural healing process doesn’t happen overnight! Most health shops will order Myrrh on request if it is not in stock.
